Nehir uses her illustrations as a tool to reframe the narrative around mental health by advocating for more representation of healing and understanding in the media. She seeks to create a safe space to share stories where it is okay to be vulnerable, while validating people’s experiences with mental health and providing support to people in making sense of their experiences. She provides direct services to victims and survivors of domestic abuse and has been seeing how important it is to engage in self-help practices, especially because professional resources can not always be available when we need them.
